The Movement tonight at the Visulite Theatre (12/28/11)

Posted By on Wed, Dec 28, 2011 at 8:57 AM

THE MOVEMENT Hailing from Philly by way of Columbia, S.C., this band fuses reggae and hip-hop the way you’d expect a group that lists Sublime, Tupac and Pink Floyd as their major influences would. Positive and energetic, you can almost see the Bob Marley poster on the college dorm room wall when they lay into their vibes. Their opening gigs for acts like The Wailers, Blues Traveler, Common and Ludacris only solidify their genre-mashing intent. SOJA headlines. $20-$25. Visulite Theatre. www.visulite.com.
