South Park took aim at Kanye West. West recently came out in defense of rumors that he's gay and South Park had a blast with it. Of course, it's only funny if you hear it as "fish dicks" instead of "fishsticks." Either way, Kanye didn't get the joke on the show.

Personally, I would have been just fine if he stayed away... I've never been a fan of Eminem and his new song, "We Made You," sounds just like all his other songs terrible.
The only thing I can say is that the video is funny. He targets Kim Kardashian, Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo, Portia Di Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres, Sarah Palin, Britney Spears, Samantha Ronson and Lindsay Lohan, John Mayer and Jennifer Anniston, Brett Michaels, Amy Winehouse and Blake... and keep an eye out for appearances by Dr. Dre and 50 Cent.

The Academy of Country Music held its annual awards ceremony last night and a handful of women walked away as the big winners of the night.
Carrie Underwood won entertainer of the year, Taylor Swift won album of the year and the top new female vocalist honors went to Julianne Hough.
You can get a complete list of winners here.
Have you ever been on MTV or performed in a concert? Still single? That's it I'm now guessing those are the only qualifications to get a dating "reality" show on VH1 or MTV.
Flavor Flav, Brett Michaels, Ray J and whoever else might make an interesting TV character is given a show on VH1 to help them find true love. And how well does it work? It doesn't. Flavor Flav did, what, three seasons? Michaels is on his third and Ray J's just gettin' warmed up.
Which reminds me, who the hell is Ray J, anyway? He's Brandy's brother and he was in a sex tape with Kim Kardashian. Does that make him famous? No, it puts him in a category with Paris Hilton, Kardashian and Nicole Richie who are famous for nothing. Sure Ray J put an album out, but so did Hilton - what's your point?
Anyway, the latest singer to try and get a show is Pepa of Salt N Pepa.
Seriously - enough is enough. What happened to the days when VH1 and MTV actually playing music videos? I weep for the future.
Oh, and if you're a couple you shouldn't have a show either. The divorce rate on those is staggering Dave Navarro and Carmen Electra, Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, the list goes on...
Granted, Jimmy Fallon is still finding his comfort level on his new late night show, but I'm starting to dig the "Slow jam the news" segment of his monologue.
Check out the video from last night when he gets down and dirty with AIG. (Click here if video does not load.)
Let's get straight to it. Everyone who saw American Idol last night, otherwise known as "America's Biggest Karaoke Contest," is talking about the performance of Adam Lambert.
Lambert took Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" and turned it into a sitar-y, Middle Eastern-vibe of a song and people either love it or hate it. There's no middle ground here. People give him heaps of praise for having originality and doing something completely different, or trash him for doing a "horrendous" rendition and saying it's the worst thing they've heard.
\
I sit with the second group. I thought it was awful. I think Johnny Cash is rolling around in his grave and yelling, "Let me out of here so I can go kick that young kid's ass!"
Here's an interesting part of the story much like Daughtry's version of "Walk the Line" a few years back, it wasn't an original version and Lambert didn't get to give credit where it's due. So, who sang the original? How about another contestant on a different singing reality show. Remember Rockstar: Supernova? Rember Dilana?
\
I won't identify those who may wish to remain nameless, but let's just say a few of the voices on this commercial are often heard around the Queen City... and two are quite "Familiar."

I've been doing it for so long that I thought I should post some quick comments about "America's Biggest Karaoke Contest" (American Idol) from last night.
First off, let me say that the funniest comment I've heard about the show came from Simon Cowell himself last night "It's fine being artistic...just not on this show."
Also, if you haven't heard, the reason for giving a different number for the 13th contestant is because 866-IDOLS13 is a phone sex line. Nice...
I've noticed a lot of the singers fall into one of three categories the bland/boring, the screamers/over-singers and the mini-celebrities. The only one that seems to have enough originality and quirkiness, Megan Joy Corkery, probably won't last very long... more on that as I comment on each singer.
I haven't started nicknames for the contestants yet, but you know they're coming. Stay tuned.
Here are my thoughts:
Ok, I've had enough. All of this Autotune crap is getting out of hand. Cher used it a while back and that was fine, but now it's becoming commonplace all over music.
Can't sing? No problem, we'll hook you up to Autotune and make you sound like a freakin' robot. Is everyone just trying to get a futuristic vibe going on their sound? I'm not sure, but I will say that it all just sounds like crap. Like horrible, talentless crap.
I reached the breaking point a while ago, really, but today when I heard the Lil Wayne song "Prom Queen" that he did with some of the guys from Korn, I thought, "This just might be one of the worst songs I've heard in a long time."

Joaquin Phoenix "discusses" his hop-hop career and new movie with David Letterman...kind of.
\
Some say it's a hoax - watch the under-the-breath chat going on around 3:06 in the video. And at the end, Letterman says, "Good job!"
