I'm all for someone transitioning.

If you feel as if you were born in the wrong body, do what you have to do to have a happy life.

But to use implants as a get out of jail free card, that's too much.

I don't know who's to blame, the police for allowing it or the suspect for using it as an excuse.

According to The Charlotte Observer:

A crossdresser on the run from police tells officers he will turn himself in as soon as he recovers from plastic surgery.

Mitchelle E. Anthony is wanted in connection with a robbery at a Family Dollar.

"He went to the back and loaded up a cart with detergent," said store manager Herrell Fields.

"About $48 worth of Gain laundry detergent," said Charlotte-Mecklenburg police Officer Jason Peetz.

Anthony and another suspect allegedly tried to run down a witness with their rented Mitsubishi Galant during their escape, the store manager said.

"I think they did it on purpose because they backed up and as soon as they went forward they aimed straight for him," Fields said.

The witness suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital.

Police say the suspects are crossdressers. One is already in custody, but Anthony is in hiding.

Police say Anthony actually called in, knowing that he's wanted, and said he'll turn himself in once he recovers from breast augmentation surgery. But Peetz says they've heard from Anthony's friends that he's already on the mend and he hasn't made good on his promise.

Peetz admits this is the first time he's ever dealt with this type of excuse from a wanted fugitive.

"That's probably the first surrender after breast augmentation surgery we've had," Peetz said.

So when he gives himself up, is he still Mitchelle? Will he go into lock up with men or women? Is the Mecklenburg County Jail equipped to handle transgendered criminals?

It was only a matter of time before the sex workers using Craigslist in Charlotte got caught.

Last night was that night.

According to WCNC, 15 people were arrested in a sting on Monday.

I just wonder what ad caught the attention of the police. Since the "Craigslist murder" outside of Boston, the site has changed it's focus, dropping erotic service and promising to police the adult service listings.

Still, getting sex is just as easy to do on Craigslist as it ever was and sometimes you don't have to pay for it.
