A repeat winner. A recent dumping ground for Manor movies that needed to give up their prime Providence Road marquee slots (not a bad thing, since it kept good movies in town longer), this venerable Charlotte theater has lately been snagging its own fair share of first-run independent titles. Among its accomplishments, it showcased the exclusive local engagement of Charlotte filmmaker John Schwert’s award-winning In/Significant Others and landed this year’s Oscar winner for Best Foreign Language Film, The Secret In Their Eyes. 4289 Park Road 704-643-3456
