Following its opening weekend of free rides and fanfare, the Charlotte Area Transit LYNX Blue Line Train is feeling a bit of the blues already.
• Riders are complaining about the ticket options: CATS only offers daily, weekly or monthly passes. Some passengers want longer options for passes.
• One passenger said she was 30 minutes late for work.
• The ticket vending machines are cash only and if you're thinking of taking a "free" ride -- don't. CATS' Fare Inspectors and police officers will check for valid tickets and passes aboard the LYNX Blue Line. Failure to possess a valid ticket or pass could result in a citation of $50 and you may face a Class 3 misdemeanor charge.
