The Liberty, an American Gastropub, 1812 South Boulevard, is hosting a Beer Dinner with Raleigh, N.C.s Big Boss Brewery on Thursday, Jan. 14 at 7 p.m.
The menu includes these pairings: angel biscuits with Bentons country ham and Sweet Grass pimento cheese with Big Boss Amber Rye; Roasted Maine Sea Scallops with winter artichokes, overnight tomatoes and fregola with Angry Angel Kölch Style Ale; Coca-Cola braised black Berkshire pork shoulder with smoked ham hock turnip greens and maple-glazed apples with Bad Penny Brown Ale; 48-hour roasted Montana Ranch bison short ribs with celery root puree, truffle jus and candied shallots with Hells Belle Belgian Blond; and for dessert, decadent chocolate sundae with chocolate crunch ice cream, vanilla ice cream, honey peanuts, Valhrona ganache and marshmallow fluff with Big Operator Belgian Black Raspberry.
