Eat pizza, help schools

Posted By on Tue, Sep 7, 2010 at 9:30 AM

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools' budgets are getting sliced, but you can help by ordering some slices ... of Donatos' pizza.

Donatos will be hosting "CMS Family Nights" each Wednesday, with 15 percent of its proceeds going to CMS.

The "CMS Family Nights" will include dine in, carry out, or delivery, and will run from 4 to 8 pm at all Donatos restaurants in Mecklenburg County. Money collected will go to the district's nonprofit Charlotte-Mecklenburg Public Schools Foundation.

Also announced by Donatos:

In addition to the Family Nights, Donatos is:

  • Offering all employees at CMS a permanent 15 percent discount that’s good at any time. Donatos also plans to make the offer valid for school district employees in the surrounding counties.
  • Planning to donate Bobcats tickets for each home game to deserving students, teachers and staff in recognition of superior achievement
  • Starting to reach out to all schools in their delivery areas to help with fundraising projects.
