Marigny to host "Stars & Stripes" Veterans Day party

Posted By on Wed, Nov 9, 2011 at 2:51 PM

Veterans Day is a day traditionally set aside for reflection, gratitude, and dance-filled debauchery. Or at least that's what the folks over at Marigny Dance Club seem to think. This Friday, in honor of the federal holiday and of the club's monthly Friday-night party, Marigny will throw the Stars & Stripes shindig the likes of which Charlotte hasn't seen.

Like the night's catchphrase says "life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here, we should dance.” The bash will pay tribute to those who have proudly served the country, whether that means the armed forces or the police and fire departments. Party-goers are encouraged to come decked-out and celebrate with festive attire: camouflage is a surefire way to play off the patriotic look ."

DJ Michael Tank from the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area will make his Queen City debut.

18 to twirl, 21 to drink, $10 for everyone. You can find more information and RSVP to the event on its Facebook page.
