Latorre's Disco hosts "Bolero Night" with Franco Londoño

Posted By on Mon, Nov 14, 2011 at 2:41 PM

Thursday nights at Latorre's Disco usually cater to the college crowd, but this Thursday, Nov. 17 the club will offer something more palatable to a 21+ crowd. Colombian singer-songwriter Franco Londoño will serenade the crowd with a host of boleros, a form of slow-tempo Latin music that exists in both Spanish and Cuban forms. Londoño, sponsored by Kubota Music Production, will perform the boleros accompanied by live music and will offer interesting facts about world famous bolero composers, interpreters and songs.

Londoño recently released a compilation of his best original songs, marking the beginning of a style the artist calls “Pop-Opera-Latino...the musical path that would brighten my soul.”

The evening kicks off at 8 p.m. You can find more information at www.latorresdisco.com or http://francolondono.com/site/tickets/
