See & Do: The Weekender Food For The New Year

If you plan to party hearty on New Year's Eve, make sure you do it right with good food to compliment all the bubbly. Here are just a few places making extra special meals to bring in the new year.
Ballantyne
• Table Restaurant will have a DJ after 10 p.m. and will host their guests to a midnight champagne toast.

• For something a little more hands on, head over to Sticky Fingers Rib House for a $29.99 rib sampler dinner-for-two special. The Matt Hill and Matt Walsh Blues Duo will begin playing at 6 p.m. at the Concord Mills Location.

Dilworth
• A New Year’s Eve buffet at Ru San’s is sure to be a hell of a party. For $21.95 you get all the sushi you can eat plus one saki or a small beer from 5 p.m.-10 p.m.

• If you're looking for something a little more upscale check out Sullivan’s Steakhouse for live jazz and a pre-fixed menu at $75/person. Seatings are at 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 8 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Have a credit card ready to hold your table.

Uptown
• For a romantic swing into 2008, reserve a table at The Melting Pot for a pre-fixed 5-course menu at $160/couple (does not include drinks, tax or gratuity).

• Cosmo’s is offering a four-course menu at $38.95/person. Charlotte’s signature café opens at 5 p.m., no cover until 9 p.m. Don’t miss the champagne toast at midnight.

Lake Norman
• Mickey and Mooch will be hosting their party guests to a pre-fixed menu from $55-$75/person. The seatings will be in two-hour increments and the later reservations will enjoy live music, champagne and party favors.

Matthews
Ring in the new year with all your friends at Beantown Tavern. At $120/couple, the evening will include one appetizer, dinner, 2 desserts, an open bar and live music by Roxic. Finish off the night with a champagne toast, party favors and a ride home. The party goes from 6 p.m. until the wee hour of 2 a.m.
