Artists I dig: Part 2

As I stated before, many of my buddies are artists. Meet another of my art friends: Torkwase Dyson. Here's what someone wrote about her recently:

Torkwase Dyson creates hyper-real composite images that examine the complex relationship between the automobile industry, black popular culture, nature, and consumption. Drawing upon science fiction and its infinite possibilities, her narratives address the fertile territory and inherent tension between objects of cultural power and their impact on the environment.
