The documentary Valentino: The Last Emperor, an insider look at the influential couturier Valentino Garavani as he winds down his career in spectacular fashion, will begin its Charlotte run this Friday at the Manor Theatre. And on hand for several of the opening weekend's showings will be Matt Tyrnauer, the film's director (as well as Special Correspondent for Vanity Fair). Tyrnauer will host Q&A sessions on Friday, June 5, following the 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. shows, and Saturday, June 6, after the 1:45 p.m., 4:15 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. screenings.

In related news, the Manor will gather items for the non-profit organization Dress for Success through June 18. Patrons are encouraged to bring items to the theater that can be used in interview outfits. Among the items desired are necklaces, bracelets and scarves.

For more information on the Manor activities, call the theater at 704-334-2727. For details on Dress for Success - Charlotte, go to their Web page here.
