A film benefit for the documentary The Final Gift will be held at 6 p.m. this Saturday, March 19, in the McGlohon Theatre at Spirit Square.
Therese Bartholomew's movie, a nonfiction piece in which she attempts to come to grips with the murder of her brother and even visits the killer in a South Carolina prison, has completed filming and now enters into post-production. In an effort to raise funds for this portion of the filmmaking process, the benefit's organizers are hoping folks will come out and support their event. The benefit will be hosted by John Tosco of Tosco Music Party and will include new film footage, a Q&A session with Bartholomew, musical performances by Shawn Mullins and various local artists, and a silent auction.
Admission is $25 and tickets may be obtained at the Spirit Square box office or here.
