First Drip (12/17/13): Rucho stands by controversial tweet, $586 million Christmas present, more

In an interview with WFAE, state Sen. Bob Rucho, a Republican from Mecklenburg County, stood by a controversial tweet he wrote over the weekend that said the Affordable Care Act (sic throughout) "has done more damage to the USA then the swords of the Nazis,Soviets & terrorists combined."

How about $586 million as a Christmas present to yourself?

The 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees have been announced. On the list: Nirvana and Hall and Oates. Not on the list: N.W.A. and LL Cool J. Also, RIP, Ray Price.

You can stop wasting money on vitamins now.
