First Drip (1/24/14): Charlotte ranks last in upward mobility study, 'most hated man on Internet' arrested, more

According to a new study, out of the 50 largest metro areas in the U.S., Charlotte ranks last in upward mobility (i.e., people in Charlotte have a really, really, really hard time escaping poverty).

Twelve people have been arrested in Rock Hill in connection with a "violent gang."

More than 150 people gathered yesterday to protest a grand jury's decision not to indict CMPD officer Randall Kerrick on the shooting death of Jonathan Ferrell.

Hunter Moore, the "most hated man on the Internet" - was arrested yesterday for allegedly conspiring to hack into people's emails, steal nude photos and post them on a now defunct revenge porn website.

The Mac is 30 years old today.
