We recently published a story that provides an introspective look at the struggles within Charlotte’s African-American cultural scene. The story has generated numerous discussions on social media and in social circles around the city. Now, it’s your chance to talk about where we go from here.
On Nov. 24, we're partnering with the Levine Museum of the New South to bring you Blackish: The Social Event and Conversation. Guests will enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, music by DJ Yasmin Young and a panel discussion.
Panelists include Kennedy Howard, co-owner of Sydney’s Martini and Wine Bar; Larken Egleston, brand ambassador for Republic National Distributing Company; Jasiatic, founder of Su Casa; and Michael Kitchen, founder of The Sol Kitchen. Hosted by writer Jarvis Holliday and CL editor Kimberly Lawson.
