Musicians do a lot to get their name out to an audience these days, sometimes a little too much. Florida rapper Flo Rida has made a desperate attempt to really reach his fans. He's made his cell phone number (305-528-2786) public, so they can give him a jingle.

Personally, I would have been just fine if he stayed away... I've never been a fan of Eminem and his new song, "We Made You," sounds just like all his other songs terrible.
The only thing I can say is that the video is funny. He targets Kim Kardashian, Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo, Portia Di Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres, Sarah Palin, Britney Spears, Samantha Ronson and Lindsay Lohan, John Mayer and Jennifer Anniston, Brett Michaels, Amy Winehouse and Blake... and keep an eye out for appearances by Dr. Dre and 50 Cent.

Today's is from Trent Reznor who still attacks Chris Cornell, but then posted this last night:
trent_reznor Also have a touch of the dreaded GGIDWTBLJMC (Good God I Don't Want To Be Like John Mayer Condition)
After recent performance, the duo will work on some of Paul's songs together. Now, if they can only get John and George to... oh, nevermind.
I'm guessing that Ringo is more excited about this than anyone else.
Many Charlotteans have heard of Bill Hannah. Hes been regularly playing jazz in Charlotte since the '60s and has taught scores of music students in various Charlotte middle schools. Whenever I tell folks that I play with Bill, they usually know who Im talking about. Indeed, he still plays almost every night of the week in venues such as Big Bens English Pub, the Cajun Queen and the Double Door Inn.
Ive learned a lot about jazz as an art form and jazz in Charlotte while playing with Bill. Im always impressed with Bills ability to get into a tune and his ability to banter with the audience. Hes unflappable because, like a seasoned comedian, hes heard just about everything that someone in the audience is going to say (personally, Im still surprised about how kooky some jazz listeners can be). Hes also musically unflappable because hes played just about every jazz tune in the book.
Sony Nashville has dropped the singer, but rep insists she was only "on loan" for one album and remains with Epic. Are you surprised?
