WHAT: Jermaine Dupri will release the much-anticipated Ocean’s Seven: The Mixtape exclusively online this Friday on Global14.com, JD’s entertainment and lifestyle website. The mixtape features the singles “Vegas Baby” and “So So Much Swagg.” Guest appearances by Bow Wow and Q Da Kid. All production done by Jermaine Dupri and Bryan Michael Cox. The Ocean’s Seven concept was born a few months ago while JD and Bryan Michael Cox were in Las Vegas working in the studio with Usher. Inspired by the popular film Ocean’s Eleven, Dupri and his colleagues, similar to Brad Pitt and George Clooney, have come together to establish a modern day Rat Pack and illustrate to the world, not just a music project, but a way of life.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs have unveiled the new video for its next single, "Heads Will Roll," off the newest album, It's Blitz! The video, directed by Richard Ayoade, houses a rather silly allusion to a mash up of Michael Jackson's videos for "Beat It" and "Thriller." This stain of a video for a song I actually enjoyed before hand is why I try to avoid music videos these days.
Far more entertaining in my opinion, is the live clip of Trent Reznor and Street Sweeper Social Club covering MC5's "Kick out the Jams." Since Reznor announced his open recording policy on twitter and nin.com, there have been a host of exciting live scenes posted.

Chengdu is the capital of the Sichuan province and it's known for it's laid-back life-style
and blazingly spicy food. I asked around about live music venues and was told to check out
The Little Bar (xiao jiu guan) which is known as the Chengdu home of Chinese punk.
After taking a harrowing taxi ride downtown (Chengdu drivers don't pay attention to the lines, pedestrians or cyclists on the road) I arrived at the bar. It had a Snug Harbor vibe, but had a brighter atmosphere. The stage set-up was good, as was the sound system. The crowd wasn't as diverse as that in Shanghai since Chengdu isn't an international city. In fact, even though it's the fourth largest city in China, before the big earthquake in Sichuan last year, not many westerners had even heard of Chengdu!
