Ho anthems of the decade (2005-2009)

The second half of this decade saw the death of the extravagantly hedonistic music video but not the death of pure slut music. Here's some ho anthems of the last 5 years.

Ying Yang Twins - "Wait (The Whisper Song)" (2005)

For the man whore in all of us, this song was a great salvo to say exactly what she wants to hear. It's like the grown equivalent to "wait till you see my new toys" as a kid except this toy, hopefully, won't break.

Play N Skillz feat. Adina Howard & Krayzie Bone - "The World Has Too Many Freaks" (2005)

Sampling the classic, "Moments in Love" that we all grew up hearing on the Quiet Storm. Then add the woman who wanted a, "freak in the morning and a freak in the evening" in the 90s, urging to "freak her on counter, freak her on the table "and yeah, Krayzie Bone is just icing on the ho cake here, people.

Lil Boosie & Webbie - "Girl Give Me That" (2005)

"I know you want it girl, don't act like you don't want it girl, you want it just as bad as I do..." The ultimate sales pitch for "hoes" on the fence about the evening's endeavors. These two simply demand that they "give me that [lady parts]."

David Banner - "Play" (2005)

Contrary to his soulful song, "Fucking," on the same subject from the  2005 Certified album, this was David Banner's club anthem. It was like a Neptunes-y ode to getting her lady parts moist, and you know what, it may have accomplished that for some easier-to-please women.

Shawnna - "Gettin Some Head" (2006)

We owe Shawnna a solid for making a track to play during this act that wasn't a slow jam but very self-explanatory.

Gucci Mane - "Go Head (Shawty Got A Ass On Her)" (2006)

For what Gucci Man3 lacks in creativity, he more than makes up for with sheEr straightforwardness. "Shawty gotta ass on her, I'ma put my hands on her." If this were a college class, I'd argue that he takes his lyrics to a primal place where cavemen see, then do — it's really lyrical anthropology.

Fat Joe & Lil Wayne - "Make It Rain" (2006)

Much like the term bling, once your grandparents got a whiff of this and figured out how to use it in a sentence, it was over. Nonetheless, when Fat Joe and Lil Wayne dropped this gem, it had to bring a smile to a gold-digging woman's face.

Pretty Ricky - "On The Hotline" (2007)

Well before one member of this group was challenging other dudes to dance in his draws, this was the song most likely to make you stomp a lil dude out for touching your younger siblings inappropriately. It was the high school precursor for current college sluts.

Rick Ross - "Money Make Me Cum" (2008)

A ho empowerment song really. This track started with one girl putting her foot down and saying forget that guy, money is what really turns her own. It's the reason guys really major in pre-med, pre-law or engineering, if you think about it. That extra money is useful for something.

Plies - "Becky" (2009)

From the same man who arguably set Black women back 20 years with his song "Bust It Baby" and subsequent reality show casting video. This song adds another new term to our vocabularies for ... "necking and chinning." You should expect nothing less from a man, who said he wants to put his "mayonnaise in yo salad" and everyone knew what he was talking about.
