Posted By on Fri, Apr 15, 2011 at 1:22 PM

Each Friday, we review 10 recently released CDs in 10 words each:

Harris Eisenstadt Canada Day II — An avant-garde, experimental approach to jazz with numerous instruments.

Dripping Slits Short Skirts & Long Nights — Great band name… especially since “Anal Cunt” was already taken.

Jill Goldberg Girl, Polite — Boston-based folk-popster shows talent on six-song EP.

Trampled Under Foot Wrong Side of the Blues — Trio of siblings brings out decent blues from Kansas City.

Mary Mary Something Big — Why do singers Erica, Tina call their band Mary Mary?

The Trews Hope & Ruin — Toronto-based rock band brings in pop to garage style.

Primal Static The Curtain of Many Faces — Two-piece indie rock band is rough around the edges.

Ant-Bee Electronic Church Music — Members of Zappa, Alice Cooper, others join forces for journey.

Ansty McClain and the Trailer Park Troubadours Heroes Last Forever — Folkabilly singer has some decent songs, storytelling style to lyrics.

Stalley Lincoln Way Nights — There’s some potential in his rhymes and style…. Not bad.
