Hunter Valentine play riotous pop-punk tonight (8/22/11)

Posted By on Mon, Aug 22, 2011 at 7:00 AM

Hunter Valentine Blending the sultry and surly, this Toronto-based all-girl trio packs the pop-punk wallop of Elastica and riot grrrrl ’tude of Bikini Kill into its live sets. The band’s sophomore full-length, Lessons From The Late Night, was recently unleashed, and since their 2004 formation, the girls have taken those late-night lessons to heart in true DIY fashion: Sleeping on floors, touring in crap vans, and honing their craft from one raucous gig to another. Basically, just three young gals chasing down the rock ’n’ roll dream. With Sick of Sarah and Vanity Theft on the Lady Killer Tour. $8-$10. The Milestone. www.themilestonelub.com.
