Bill Hanna Jazz Jam Charlotte’s local jazz legend Bill Hanna is a regular here on Tuesday nights, channeling the authentic jazz vibes of the great Miles Davis and Duke Ellington. For more than two decades, he has made Charlotte his home and stage, honing his musical talent and inspiring younger artists along the way. He got his start back in the early ’90s at the Artist Cafe, but now you can catch him weekly at the Double Door Inn playing music that you are guaranteed to not only hear, but feel as well. $7. Concert Announcement Puscifer headed to Charlotte in November

A venue hasn't yet been announced, but Puscifer, Maynard James Keenan's (Tool, A Perfect Circle) "solo project," is planning to be in Charlotte on Nov. 27. Tickets go on sale on Friday, Oct. 7 at noon.

Music Menu Temperance League brings forth blue-collar rock tonight (10/1/11)

Temperance League Bruce Hazel writes songs for the blue-collar worker with a chip on his shoulder. Ripping a page out of Springsteen’s notebook, the charismatic front man finds a balance between writing solid rock songs and getting people to think about the state of the economy or the outbreak of war.
