Tommy Ramone, the last original member of The Ramones, died at age 65 over the weekend from bile duct cancer. Born Tom Erdelyi, he was the drummer for the influential rock 'n' roll band.

A metal trio of Brooklyn 8th-graders, known as Unlocking the Truth, has signed a record deal with Sony that could net them as much as $1.7 million. The deal includes $60,000 for the group's first LP with as much as $350,000 on its second.

Rapper Meek Mill received three to six months of jail time for a probation violation stemming from 2008 drug and gun charges. Mill didn't give his probation officer a working cell phone number and failed to get court approval for out-of-state performances.

Metallica appears in a new Sportscenter commercial on ESPN. The band, whose music used to serve as the introduction for Yankees pitcher Mariano Rivera, pokes fun at itself now that Rivera has retired.
