* Sam Smith won Grammys for Song of the Year and Record of the Year (among others) while Beck won for Album of the Year last night. For a complete list of winners, click here.
* Beck's win has gained the most attention — first for Kanye running up on stage right before he started his speech. Everyone assumed he would say Beyonce should have won, but he saved that speech for backstage. "Beck needs to respect artistry, he should have given his award to Beyoncé," West said backstage. "At this point, we tired of it. What happens is, when you keep on diminishing art, and not respecting the craft, and smacking people in the face after they deliver monumental feats of music, you’re disrespectful to inspiration."
* And then you have plenty of people who don't even know who Beck is, or why he won. Perhaps his win is evidence those people should do a little research on iTunes or YouTube.

Concert Announcement North Carolina Brewers and Music Festival announces lineup

Steep Canyon Rangers will headline the North Carolina Brewers and Music Festival in Rural Hill on May 8 and 9. Also on the lineup are Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds, Sol Driven Train, Town Mountain, Yarn, Brushfire Stankgrass, Dead 27s and Edward David Anderson. Tickets range from $26-$36 and camping packages are also available.

* While many people are saying that Missy Elliott stole the halftime show at last night's Super Bowl, there is apparently an entire generation who has no idea who she is. Just as some people claim Kanye West is going to help Paul McCartney be discovered, so too are people giving future credit to Katy Perry for any of Elliott's success.
* Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, was found unresponsive in a bathtub over the weekend. Rumors are swirling that she has very little brain activity at the moment.
* Kanye West doesn't appear to be a big fan of Waffle House.
* Jimmy Fallon, Kevin Hart and Will Ferrell had an epic lip sync battle after the Super Bowl:
* The first show of the 2015 concert season at the Uptown Amphitheatre has been announced. Needtobreathe will perform on May 9 with Drew Holcomb, Ben Rector and Colony House. Tickets go on sale on Friday, Feb. 6.
