All Walks of Life is a benefit show for Don't Break the Bond and Camp Care. The gates will open at 11 a.m. and music starts at noon. Tickets are on sale for the BYOB event — prices range from $35 to $80.
Last year, the inaugural event featured a few more local bands with Sugar Glyder, Matrimony, Lucky Five, Simplified and Paper Tongues, alongside headliners Mike Posner and Matt & Kim.
Steve Earle and The Dukes will perform at the Neighborhood Theatre on May 2, 2012. The hardcore troubadour is on tour supporting his latest release, 2011's I'll Never Get Out Of This World Alive, the follow up to the Grammy Award-winning 2009 release Townes.
The Dukes will feature a Duchess on this tour — Earle's wife, Allison Moorer. Tickets are on sale now through the Neighborhood Theatre.
In case you haven't already heard, here's a quick roundup of tours that'll be stopping by Charlotte in the coming months:
• Iron Maiden hasn't been to Charlotte in years, but that's about to change too. The metal legends are kicking off their upcoming tour at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre on June 21 with Alice Cooper opening. The "Maiden England World Tour" will closely mirror, in terms of production and content, the original 1988 concert video of the same name. Tickets go on sale on March 2 and 3.
• The Material Girl will make her first Charlotte appearance this year. Madonna's 2012 World Tour will bring her to the Carolinas for a stop at Time Warner Cable Arena on Nov. 15. Tickets go on sale on March 5 at 10 a.m.
• It's no surprise that Dave Matthews Band is hitting the road again this summer after taking last year off, but this time around, they'll be bringing The Head and the Heart for their first Charlotte appearance. Tickets go on sale on March 9. The Avett Brothers will be opening the two concerts for DMB at The Gorge in September.
• Amos' Southend will celebrate its 21st anniversary with a concert by Cage the Elephant. The energetic rock band will be making its sophomore appearance in the Queen City on April 13. Tickets are on sale now.
The 2012 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival lineup has been announced. The festival will take place in Manchester, Tenn., on June 7-10.

The Avett Brothers have definitely come a long way from their Charlotte days. Four years ago, the guys were playing in a small Bonnaroo tent on an afternoon. Two years ago, they played one of the main stages for a massive crowd. I can only assume they'll be on the main stage this year with an early evening spot.
See the full lineup here.

As well as a number of Charlotte-area bands including One Another, No Power, Junior Astronomers, Old Milwaukee, Pullman Strike and Andy the Doorbum.

Carolina Rebellion, which will take place on Saturday, May 5, at the Rockingham Speedway in Rockingham, N.C. announced its lineup today. Headliners Shinedown and Korn will be joined by Evanescence, Staind, Five Finger Death Punch, Slash, Chevelle, Volbeat, Halestorm, P.O.D., Adelitas Way, Paper Tongues, Weaving The Fate, Redlight King, Red, New Medicine and Ghosts Of August.
It's a pretty solid lineup if you're looking for a day-long metal-centric music fest. The only oddity for me was the inclusion of the Charlotte band Paper Tongues who are closer to pop than anything metal. Singer Aswan North is far more likely to wear bling than anything studded or spiked.
For comparison, here are the Paper Tongues:
And here is one of the headliners:
This year will also feature the ability for concert-goers to camp out the night before. A campground party featuring Foxy Shazam, Lez Zeppelin and One was also announced.
Last year, the inaugural event was held at Charlotte's Metrolina Expo and featured Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack, Three Days Grace, Stone Sour, Seether, Bullet For My Valentine, Theory of a Deadman, Alter Bridge, Hinder, Skillet, Saving Abel, Halestorm, Black Stone Cherry, My Darkest Days, Cavo, Rev Theory, Pop Evil and Art Of Dying.
It's almost time to dust off your cowboy boots and clean up your hats... Live Nation today announced the six concerts that will be included in this year's country megaticket, which goes on sale on Feb. 3 at 10 a.m.
It's available online only through megaticket.com and includes:
• Sugarland
(I guess this further delays my dream of a Jennifer Nettles Band reunion.)
• Lady Antebellum, Darius Rucker and Thompson Square
(Hootie!)
• Toby Keith, Brantley Gilbert
(Ya think his stage will look like a pickup truck again?)
• Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan
(The latest next big thing in country music.)
• Rascal Flatts, Little Big Town, Eli Young Band, Edens Edge
(Do these bands ever stop touring?)
• Brad Paisley, The Band Perry
(If you like your country served with a splash of wit.)
