The Concord-based folk-rock outfit, who will release its eighth studio album, Magpie and the Dandelion, on Oct. 15, last performed in Charlotte in August of 2011.

The Avett Brothers traditionally performed on New Year's Eve in Charlotte until 2009 when the concert was held in Asheville, and again in 2010. In 2011, the show was held in Greenville, S.C. and last year in Greensboro, N.C.

Fan club ticket pre-sales start on Sept. 17. Public on-sale begins on Sept. 20.

Welcome home.
