Nazi group to rally in Charlotte on Saturday

The National Socialist Movement, a Neo-Nazi party (GROSS GROSS GROSS), is holding its national conference in Charlotte on Saturday to "protest" undocumented immigrants.

They'll start the march from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center at 3 p.m. and head up South Davidson for some kind of "rally" at Old City Hall.

Several activists groups in Charlotte are staging counter-protests. Occupiers will gather in Marshall Park to "let the racist, anti-semitic, homophobic, xenophobic, misogynist NSM know that hate is not welcome in Charlotte," member Laurel Green wrote in an email this morning. Anyone is welcome to join them. Latin American Coalition members are showing up dressed as clowns and urge community members to do the same.

Look forward to our coverage from comedy writer and Robot Johnson member Graham Odom.
