First Drip (6/10/15): Local gang leader tracked reporter from jail

According to search warrants, a local leader of the United Blood Nation approaching trial for the murder of Doug and Debbie London may have also tracked a reporter covering the case of the murdered couple. Jamell Cureton reportedly shared a "file" with a fellow inmate that described the looks and habits of the reporter, even describing what color car he drove. Cureton currently faces 12 federal charges, six of which carry the death penalty. 

Eric Casebolt, the McKinney, Texas police officer caught on tape tackling a teenage girl and pinning her to the ground  while breaking up a pool party over the weekend, announced his resignation on Tuesday. McKinney Police Chief Greg Conley called Casebolt's actions "indefensible" and saying he "came in to the call out of control." 

LIFT Academy, a diversion program for at-risk youth in CMS, may expand to West Mecklenburg High School. The program is currently offered to West Charlotte High School students, and is credited with increasing the school's dropout rate from 56 percent to 78 percent. On Tuesday night, the CMS Board of Education approved a request for $2.5 million from the county to renovate Wilson Middle School, where the academy will be placed. In August 2014, Creative Loafing profiled one student's experience with LIFT Academy.

Franklin Graham will reportedly move accounts related to Billy Graham Evangelical Association to BB&T after pulling the money from Wells Fargo following the company's release of an ad depicting a lesbian couple. BB&T recently held a Miami Beach Gay Pride-associated fundraiser at a Florida branch. The move from Wells Fargo to BB&T will reportedly save the BGEA nearly $100,000. 

Police are looking for a man they believe to be involved with a two murders in northeast Charlotte last night. Police have released a still from a surveillance video of a person of interest in the shooting. Police responding to the scene on Atmore Street last night during the NBA Finals game found a woman shot in a car and a man shot in the street.
