News Trans-Siberian Orchestra stops by Charlotte

Trans-Siberian Orchestra will delve into orchestral jamming with its own special fusion of progressive rock, symphonic metal and classical music tonight at Time Warner Cable Arena. Tickets are $38-$48. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. For more information, call 704-522-6500.

News Coldplay's singer talks of ending the band

Well if you've been putting off seeing Coldplay live in concert, maybe you should think twice about it. The band's frontman Chris Martin, 31-years-old, stated the band will most likely part ways at the end of 2009. The singer said "I don't think bands should keep going past 33."
And I'm left thinking 'huh?' Sounds like a poor excuse to me. Read more on the story here.

New York indie/acoustic pop songstress Meredith Godreau aka Gregory and The Hawk will perform at The Milestone tonight with other acts Torn Down Trees and Ultimate Optimist. The show is 18 and up. Tickets are $7. Watch the video "Boats and Birds," from Gregory and The Hawk below:

Lil Wayne will perform at Time Warner Cable Arena on Jan. 2 with T-Pain, Keyshia Cole, Gym Class Heroes and Keri Hilson.
Tickets go on sale on Nov. 22 at livenation.com and Ticketmaster.

I am giving away 2 V.I.P vouchers for Turkey Fest TONIGHT that will not only grant you V.I.P admittance, but six free cocktails. HOLLA!
The drunken fest, I mean Turkey Fest, is tonight on 5th Street's own trifecta — the Attic, Madison's and Connelly's.
Although it might be a drunken fest for me as I have to judge the bartender's competition at Connelly's along with Carolina Panther Gary Gibson, Brotha' Fred and my partner in "paid to party" crime, Sarah Aarthun.
Turkey Fest will also feature a "Rock Band" competition at The Attic, makeovers at Madison's courtesy of the Aveda Institute and MAC.
All of the proceeds from the event go to the Second Harvest Food Bank and the cover charge is merely a canned food item.
Good times for a good cause!
