The Deal: Los Angeles MC drops another album worthy mixtape after his last one went over 10,000 downloads in hours.

The Good: It's hard not to be seduced [pause] by Dom Kennedy's laid back, Cali flow especially when you pair that honesty and sincerity with beats that fit like a glove. Hearing somebody not trying to be something they're not was refreshing. "Choose Up" put me in the mind of the West Coast sound I've known and loved for years. "The 4 Heartbeats" with Overdoz, "Locals Only" and "Long Way Home" are my early favorites and must plays but the whole thing is dope.

The Bad: "Play On" is the only song I might see myself skipping and even that isn't so bad. "1997" is cool but some of lyrics are corny and predictable.

The Verdict: I definitely would've kicked out $9.99 for it in the iTunes store, if it were an actual album. It's ride around the city on a sunny day, ready.
