While most of us got down right glutinous over Labor Day weekend, North Carolina-MC, Big Remo, took the streets of Winston-Salem and shot a video with 9th Wonder and Price Films.
"Woop Woop (Stand Back)" is the first single from his upcoming album, Entrapment, slated to drop Sept. 28. And while Big Remo might not be on your radar just yet, this video should get you as excited as I am for what he has to offer. Director Kenneth Price, who also directed Murs & 9th Wonder's "Asian Girl" as well as other projects for 9th's It's A Wonderful World Music Group, gives off the vibe of what music videos were all about in the 90's. It's a tour through a sunny day in Winston-Salem, complete with clean cars, cookouts, kids, dogs, local landmarks.
Did I mention 9th Wonder raps in the video too? Can't forget that part. North Carolina's been sounding official for a while now, glad to see our visuals are catching up. A must see for how local and indie videos should be done, my only knock is the repeated visuals of Winston-Salem's meager skyline. Get your skyscraper game up!
