Buckethead, guitar virtuoso, takes the stage tonight (9/14/11)

Buckethead There’s not much this guitar genius can’t play, from zombified original compositions that tag multiple genres to wigged-out covers ranging from Willy Wonka and Star Wars to horror movie themes. Buckethead’s picking ranges from fluid to jaw-dropping speeds, and the virtuosity is most apparent when armed with an acoustic guitar — no tricks, just a cat that knows the six strings. He’s released stacks of solo material as well as made appearances with countless experimental and underground artists over the past couple of decades. With Lynx. $20-$24.
