The Battlefield Band There’s no need for effusive verbiage on this outfit. Scotland’s beloved traditionalists have been recording and touring the world, going on their fourth decade, propagating traditional music. Through the years members have come and gone, and as new members take the reins, the youthful exuberance only gives more vibrancy to the heritage of Scottish and Celtic music. This is honest trad music at its best. $20-$25. McGlohon Theatre. www.blumenthalcenter.org. (Samir Shukla)
