Bela Fleck and the Flecktones forging new territory tonight (10/23/11)

Posted By on Sun, Oct 23, 2011 at 12:00 AM

Bela Fleck and the Flecktones Composer and banjoist Fleck has gathered the original line-up of the inimitable Flecktones — Howard Levy (piano/harmonica), Victor Wooten (bass) and Roy Wooten (percussion) — and hit the road with their fluid blend of bluegrass, jazz, folk, blues, classical and world music. The gents are touring their newest recording, Rocket Science, which, while eschewing nostalgia, forges new paths for the quartet. $39.50-$54.50. Knight Theatre. www.blumenthalcenter.org.
