Listen Up: Dead Sea $crilla and Justin Aswell Come Together on 'Local Vibes'

Posted By on Thu, Dec 14, 2017 at 11:13 AM

In this midst of their Gift Rap residency at Snug Harbor, CLT rap duo Dead Sea $crilla came by to chop it up with Mark, Ryan and Justin Aswell, producer of DS$' new album, Dead Year's Eve.

We spoke about what the hell took Fred Rock and Red Jesse so long to drop the album, and why they made the decision to sell it instead of just drop it on Soundcloud, as many local artists do. We also catch up with Aswell on where that name came from and the origins of his weekly hip-hop show at Snug, Knocturnal.

As always, catch up with past episodes of Local Vibes on iTunes or Stitcher.
