There's something Great American about a Bake Sale

Posted By on Fri, Sep 23, 2011 at 11:17 AM

What is it about adding the words "Great American" to the name of an event that makes you feel like it's going to be a good one. Finishing that off with Bake Sale, as in the Great American Bake Sale, and you can practically already smell the aroma of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, presented to you on a platter by a Donna Reed look-alike.

Maybe that's not exactly what we have here, but a bake sale, nonetheless, begs for your attendance.

On Sunday, Sept. 25, Good Eats & Meets will host the Great American Bake Sale at SouthPark Mall, Center Court, from 2 p.m.-6 p.m. Proceeds will benefit Share Our Strength, the nonprofit organization working to make sure no kid goes hungry.
