Founding member of Pink Floyd Richard Wright has died at the age of 65.
He most recently worked on fellow Floydian David Gilmour's solo album, On An Island.
Sad news for Floyd fans and anyone who was still hoping for a full-on band reunion tour.
Thanks to the six-piece melodic metal/hardcore band, Sonic Syndicate and Myspace, you can hear the band's new album before buying it. The album, titled Love and Other Disasters is set to be released on Fri., Sept. 19. It will be the Swedish band's second album on Nuclear Blast Records; a follow-up to Only Inhuman, which led to their former U.S. tour with Viking death metal band Amon Amarth. Spirit Square was the place to be last night; a red carpet led to a reception that led to the McGlohon Theatre, which was packed with members of the local theater community honoring and toasting to their craft.

It was announced today that 3 Doors Down singer Brad Arnold has been advised by his doctors to take time off to rest his voice. Due to that news, the band has postponed the next seven shows of their tour, including the Sept. 17 show scheduled for Charlotte's Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre.
The band will make an announcement for rescheduling those shows in the near future.
Tickets purchased for Raleigh & Charlotte at the venue box office or Ticketmaster outlets will be refunded at point of purchase starting Friday September 12. Tickets purchased online or via phone will be refunded automatically.

Currently on her Sticky & Sweet Tour, Pop star legend, Madonna visited Rome on Sat., Sept. 6 for a performance that left a bit of controversy brewing. Already know for her provacativeness and the ability to piss off the Vatican (like she did in her the '89 music video for "Like a Prayer" and with multiple stagings and props at various shows), Madonna did it again without a care. This time while playing in Rome, she dedicated "Like a Virgin" to the pope.
