While shopping, a man somehow concealed Chore Boys, dishwashing liquid and bleach on his person. When he went to the counter to buy cigarettes, the store's Loss Prevention manager stopped him and stated that she had been watching the store cameras and saw him take the items. The thief ran out of the store with the items without paying for them.
This Bud's For You:
A local man was helping a female friend move into a new apartment when the friend's current roommate assaulted him. The man said he went into the residence to get some boxes when the roommate threw a beer bottle at him, hitting him in the back of the head.
Can We Still Be Friends?:
A local woman's former live-in boyfriend called her and verbally threatened her, saying he would, "break in to her apartment and take care of her and take back all of his property."
Fashion Statement:
Someone picked up a rock, threw it through the front window of a store, and made off with a black Capri set and a XXX-large T-shirt.
A Slaked Thirst and Some Pocket Change:
An employee at a local grocery store told police that someone drilled a hole into the side of a drink machine and stole all the drinks and money.
Mad Dash:
A local man went out to his car to find that someone had broken into it by smashing the passenger side rear window. The offender rummaged through the car but only tore up the dash. No items were taken from the car.
Draft Notice:
A local woman called police after she received a threat over the telephone. She said the caller stated, "I will bust out all of your windows."
Short Fuse:
A woman called police after her ex-boyfriend showed up at her house and physically threatened her. When she refused to come outside to talk to him, he stole the fuses out of her fuse box (which sounds like a blues song euphemism) and left on foot. After several minutes of pursuit, the man was taken into police custody.
Re-arrangements:
A mugo pine plant, an angel statue, and a temperature gauge were stolen from a woman's porch. The items were later found piled up against the gate behind her home.
Ring My Bell: A woman claims she was harassed by an unknown person who called her home and cell phone repeatedly, but would not speak when she picked up. Later that same day, her answering machine was full of messages after her phone number and name were posted in an Internet chatroom.
Make Yourself At Home:
A man returned home to find two unknown men walking out of his house. He attempted to stop them and they dropped the items they had stolen: an axe, a foam stone, a fairy statue and fish food.
Love Is In The Air:
After a woman and her boyfriend exchanged his-and-hers watches for Valentine's Day, the woman became unhappy with the way her boyfriend was treating her. An argument started and the boyfriend demanded that the woman return the gift. She refused, and when she became very emotional the boyfriend demanded she leave his property. Before she left, she took an object from her car and used it to break her boyfriend's window.
Mud-Slinging:
A woman was driving down the road behind a truck which was pulling an empty trailer. Pieces of mud began to fly off the trailer, chipping the woman's windshield and chipping paint from the hood.
