School officials are investigating a brawl involving students and at least one school employee at Harding University High School yesterday that a student filmed on their cellphone. The original Facebook video, which has since been taken down, was captioned "administrator getting jumped at Harding." Police are searching for information about the driver who struck a pedestrian on North Tryon Street yesterday afternoon and fled the scene. The suspect — believed to
be a white or Hispanic male in his 30s — was driving a silver/grey Pontiac Montana when he struck the pedestrian, who was crossing North Tryon Street at the 4000 block, near the new Popeye's. The Montana is said to have damage to the front driver's side bumper area, damage to the left front headlamp, no driver’s side mirror and no license plate. A passing bus caught pictures of the vehicle following the accident. (Ryan Pitkin)
