Youth Lagoon Somewhere in the exhausted, boozy haze of Day 3 at Hopscotch, I caught this young Boise act, and the fact I remember it quite distinctly and favorably should be taken as a good sign. Their set of dreamy indie pop had just enough foreboding to give those dreams a tumultuous edge, and their much-anticipated Fat Possum debut, The Year of Hibernation, sounds like a weird blend of lo-fi Phosphorescent and epic Windmill grandiosity (minus some of the helium-vox). A good contrast between the textured synth-drone pop of bill cohorts Gardens & Villa and Blossoms’ marvelously off-kilter balladry. $8. Snug Harbor. www.snugrock.com.
